Is your site indexed by Google ?

site: text in google

You have put up you site or contributed to your blog. But you don’t yet know if it has been submitted to Google.

In order to check you site ranking all you have to do is type the following into the search engine…
site: yourdomain.com

Google will then list in the serp (Search Engine Results Page) the total number of pages indexed and all pages from you site that are in the index.

This is also useful if you need to know if google has out of date pages stored in it’s cache.

If you want to do a search whereby the results are restricted to a particular website then this method works also.

For example site:macrumors.com macbook air discontinued
